Hey all,
Two things I'm wondering:
If anybody had considered starting up their own school, and if they have, how much capital is needed for a small school?
My fiance is Turkish and we will be married soon, so all the documentation etc can be in her name if need be, but is it fairly easy for a foreigner to have ownership of an English school?
Thanks,

| Also, any advice on where you think the best place to open a school would be? The places I would be interested in would be either Istanbul, Izmir, or Antalya ideally. |

I'm not sure about how easy it is to start a business in Turkey. I mention it to my husband, who is Turkish. He told me to forget about it because there is too many hoops to jump through because here it's who you know and not what you know.
If you do start a business here. Let us know how it goes. I would really like to know. |

| I doubt a foreigner could have a significant stake in a small business in Turkey - they're too protectionist for that. |
