This is partly for Spiral (taken from her posting on the Poland forum: 'Hey, did you guys all get Easter Monday off? I can't remember if it's true in the CR, but here in Netherlands, any excuse for a holiday seems to suffice...lucky for me'.), and for anyone else out there not certain how the holiday season works here in the CZ:

Have a great day!

also important to note is that the weekend here tends to begin early Friday afternoon and Czechs take their weekends VERY seriously

Just wanted to add that when I was teaching Full-Time in Prague I'd often work like a dog from Monday through to Thursday and then have a long weekend from Thursday evening through to Monday morning.
Beginning teaching at non-peak hiring times of the year means more taking what comes your way in terms of times and days but beginning Sept/Oct, and to some extent Jan, you can pretty much dictate yourself which days you want to be teaching (within reason of course).
Have a lovely rest of the week everyone!
