Hello,
I would appreciate any advice that anyone has on the Inlingua Istanbul school and the English Home European Language Center in Adana... I have phone interviews with both but would be grateful for insider knowledge. |

| What I do know is that a negative posting appeared regarding your Adana school. I certainly remember the name of that school. The posting appeared about 3 years ago. There was a claim of non payment to teachers and aggression from management. I hope this helps you. Do a good check on the other one. You could always see what is around in the way of competitors in those cities so as to cover yourself. Good luck. |

| Inlingua has nice co workers and students but rarely pays on time and doesn't get work permits. If you are ok with that, then it's fine.... |

Who ever replied about English Home is completly wrong! I was there three years ago, now I work at a primary school in Adana. I never had a problem with the school, it was only my 2nd school and i found it the perfect springboard for my job now.
Sure it is a language school, it's pay isnt great, for the area it's well, ok i suppose, not great but you can save. The Head of English there is really nice, and supportive. I never had problem's with pay, with my time, or with my hours. If you want to work in a language school, its a good place to start.
Adana is cheap, really cheap, not many bars, but some, great food and a beautiful lake. Its april now and it is already 30c.
I don't usually reply to messages on here, but it annoyed me that someone wrote complete lies about a shcool they have never worked at.
Good luck with your job hunting, hope you enjoy teaching. |

Well in reply to the message by guiness, it's good to see such passion and loyalty from an employeed teacher of a language school. If you read my response carefully, you will see I said it was what 'I read' and it was 3 to 4 years ago. Maybe it has changed or things were unfounded. Are you a native English speaker Guiness? |

Yes I am,
Ossie, your right to give a reply to the original query. Maybe your right about the school in the past, I don't know. I am just talking about the school from 2006. But when you read rubbish, it annoys me.
To the original poster, good luck with the job hunting, hope you have a great time in Turkey, I love it here.
By the way,
Don't be disheartened if you find a language school difficult, there are many different options out there. A language school, in my case, just helped me to decide which area in teaching I prefer. |

Your Right-My left. Yaaawn. Does anyone else get the feeling that Turkish students have taken over this forum?
Spell-check isn't enough. You have to dance around the fire and hunt to
verbalize like a Native. |
