| The job at Taif you have bneen offered is real and is not a scam. I also recieved the same emails. I am going to work for Taif this September. The Doctor, who uses the u and so forth, was hired as a consultant as ELC is just beginning. He is not an English major he is a linguists. He is very knowledgeable and highly capable. He is an extremely nice person and I like him immensely. I have had numerous emails and phone conversations with him. He is a good man. I also have received emails from the vice president, the chair of the English department and the ELC director. I think this will be an extremely good job with some highly dedicated people involved that so far have been nothing but extremely pleasant to deal with. I feel deeply Taif is going to be a really fantastic place to work. I have a really good feeling about Taif, ELC and the whole team and my gut feelings a generally right on. Hope to see you there! |

| Prariemaker - my thoughts exactly. He is very pleasant to deal with and very caring. I shall see him this summer to talk it through. It's definitely no scam. |

Personally I wouldn't consider any employer who doesn't bother to interview new hires... and takes people that don't even have a BA and have zero experience?? (sorry nothing personal jf1940)
Such unprofessional hiring procedures speaks volumes about how professional the job will be...

Well, Mama Lock, this is why they call it the Magic Kingdom. Everything and anything you hear about it is possible and impossible!
I have known people who have degrees/certificates in Zoology teaching English, and others have degrees in Biology teaching Maths!!! And some have nothing and are managers in the land of Kiwi Kiwi!! |

The hiring process for myself has involved not just Dr. Alaeddin Hussain, but the Chair of the English department, the vice president, and Dr. Abdul R. Asmari director of ELC. Dr. Hussain does look over the resumes, but all of the above will look over deeply before you are ever hired. Dr. Hussain requested your documents because they will be reviewed and weighed by all of the above people. Having said this, is word carries a great deal of weight and if he backs you regadless of your qualifications, you likely will be hired. The ELC appears to be highly innovative with occupational skills related to the major targeted as well as ability to give ones skills to the community. I am using a similar model were I am at. It works, is fun to teach and the students love it. English becomes secondary, but is the tool that is used to achieve clarity of purpose of occupational skills that serve not only the self, but the community.
Having said this, I have no problem working with anyone regardless of qualifications if the above people see you are someone we need. If you are hired I will back you, and help you in anyway possible if you are a sincere, open and care about the students. |
