|
|
Is there a recommended website that gives the complete scoop about countries' visa requirements (of USA citizens)?
Also is there a website that lists countries who allow in and don;t allow Israel stamps on passports. I hear this and that from people, but if there is an offical website that lists it all out so as not to avoid any confusion, that would be very helpful.
I know I can go to state dept. website, but not sure if I would have to search for each country and their requirements, that is why I would prefer a complete overall streamlined list.
Many thanks,

If you have the stamp, get a new passport before going to the Middle East. (no matter what the lists say)

How do I go about getting a new passport if I am not in the USA. I have only gotten one from inside US. Wwould it be complicated or just a matter of me going to the closest US embassy and paying $75 which is what I heard the cost is? Are they going to ask me why I need a new one--I don't want to lie, but should I just say I lost it or say it is b/c I am visiting Israel along w/ other ME countries that may not allow me in w/ Israel stamp so I need another one? Just want to be kosher about it. Thanks,

Oops--you wrote--"Before going to the ME"! So would get a replacement from US and pay the full rate b/c it is good for another 9 yrs. Do you know of getting it from outside the states at an american embassy?
thanks,

I got mine renewed overseas... actually in Oman... and it was easier, more convenient, and faster than doing it in the US.
This is not an uncommon reason for getting a new passport. They don't really care why you want to give them more money before you would normally need to.
