Can anyone reccommend a good Uni to work at in these provinces? Ive checked out the search engine already here several times. Wkipedia lists them all with links although many don't work. Jilin Uni has a terrible rep for withholding 200,000 yuan from teachers so that one is out.
I just want:
clean air
fair wage/hours
paid on time
fair accom
fair location.
no BS from management over wages etc etc.
cheers, |

Liaoning. What I've noticed from looking at jobs on offer through the last few years is that Dalian's universities and colleges generally conspire to keep their wages ridiculously low. Around 4 thousand RMB a month with an occasional 4.5 on offer, for hours that could net you more money elsewhere. I didn't observe much in other cities in the province because they did not interest me.
Jilin universities seem to offer more per month for fewer hours than Dalian. I notice this simply scanning through ads. They do seem to offer less than in other cities more centrally located within China.
This isn't much information to help you. I am simply sharing my observations. Good luck. |

I don't think unis anywhere are going to come up with big bucks.
Their pluses are accomodation, return airfares and 15 to 20 hours pw contact time.
This leaves you free to ply your trade for better dollars in your spare time.
I know the contract usually specifies no outside work but as long as you don't rub their noses in it you can do it.
In fact some of my better private gigs were passed to me on the quiet by the good folk in the international office. |

it really depends on the school. In terms of these two provinces, no big difference. people are over-warm friendly and life is quite easy. |
