What is about the maximum you can expect to earn when you only have a TEFL certificate, would that be something like 6000 RM ? |

Hello adw
A look through the job ads on this website would give you an idea. It can vary widely according to qualifications and experience and the type of school and location and contract. I've seen full time jobs offer as little as 2000RMB and as high as 15,000RMB.
In my experience, the salary generally reflects the conditions. Higher salaries in Beijing and Shanghai can be taken up by living expenses as you'd expect in any large international city. Smaller salaries in smaller cities can sometimes be better value.
Do your research on what's offered at other schools within a locality and then check out the terms and conditions of employment to see if it stands up to the salary offered. Hope that helps. |

be very careful of this kind of info - lots of stories in here of higher paying possitions also giving lots of problems.
When a poster writes - "in my experience" - its best to ask what experience they're talking about. The author of the above comment - west2east - has written in another thread that his consists of a 3 month gap year placement |

Maybe you could clarify the above. Do you mean you don't have a degree, and that you have no teaching experience? How about other work experience? And what TEFL certificate? |
