| Get CELTA - rightly or wrongly it is the most recognised. Every school I have worked (nine countries) has given preference to it. Vietnam is the best place to start a TEFL career. Try to do CELTA in the country you want to work. ILA seems a nightmare - to me - but there is a large number of young newbies so you may enjoy the social aspects. Try Apollo or Language Link in Hanoi to see if they are holding CELTA courses. I worked at ACET for nearly four years in HCMC and I enjoyed it. I worked at bushibans in Taiwan when I started up and I would say VN although it is deteriorating and getting more expensive is better. |
