That has to be the most ridiculous thing I've heard in years. Well, how about making all languages easier then? Only for a bunch of English speakers who are unable to learn a foreign language. |
This has been done - it's called American English!

Btw, may I just ask you (and I mean all the whiners on this forum): why are you here in the first place? Are you being kept in Poland against your will? Because if not, then at least have the decency to respect the country and the people that are paying your bread and butter. And if that's not what you're capable of doing, then why don't you just do everyone a favour and move on? |
Leaving in the summer. |

So i got a letter in the mail from Tymbark today. I was hoping that they stepped up and were offering me some replacement product(s).
I was surprised to see that the letter contained a printed copy of what they sent to me in the email which I put on this website.
gee....thanks Tymbark.
i think i will boycott their products from now on. I could live without my Kaktus. (gives me heartburn ) |
Did they say anything else or only return your post? |

Probably because there are so many customer service issues in Poland worth talking about;both good and bad.
You can really disarm the Poles(especially the women) with a smile though.
Yesterday, I was at KFC and encountered a bitter, surly looking female clerk who was probably in her early 20s.
I gave her my biggest fake smile when placing my order and she gave me a natural, warm smile back and was even smiling for 2 minutes afterwards as I watched her from afar.
My new hobby here now is smiling to women service personnel and watching their faces light up.I also try to be very mannerly with lots of proszes, dziekujes, dzien dobrys etc
It really works;even with the old babcia types. They simply aren't used to it and don't know how to react.
Try it for yourself...they'll either think you're mad or a complete gentleman worthy of professional service.... |

This is my first post here and I'm also female. I've read quite a few of the posts and HAD to register because I wanted to give my opinion.
Yes. I laughed at the "the birds are getting fatter" thread. It's true. I just wish they realized when they add the weight, they really don't look so great anymore without clothes or with clothes that are too small! Kids are also getting fatter. I'm seeing overweight kids in my kids' classroom. When I put my oldest child in 14 years ago, I never saw a fat kid. Now, that's just not the case. My youngest is in 5th class, Polish school now, and has one rather large kid in his class.
It was also a shock for me when we went back to the states in '98 after being here since '94. I was so surprised to see so many "fat kids" (in the states). |

It's all the fast food that's around here now,.
I saw several very obese kids this past weekend.
One 7 or 8 year old in particular, probably weighed more than I do.Sad but rue. |
