Indeed. A cinematic masterpiece if ever there was one. The film, of course, is referring to a different as$clown, namely Michael Bolton. He and Seagal are in the same league of downright suckiness, although for different reasons. If they ever teamed up, they would create a new pinnacle of "suck", which could never again be attained.

Canuck,

Would that be from Office Space?

Office Space is outstanding. A true cinematic classic that only fuels my mantra and philosophy of life every time I watch it.

Office Space is a big reason why I'm a TESOLer. For life, baby.

THE LEAGUE OF SUCK

(or those you love to hate because they are somehow allowed to get away with sucking so bad and people actually pay them to do so):

Steven Segal
Michael Bolton
Kenny G
The Backstreet Boys
N'Sync
Patrick Swayze
Yanni
Richard Clayderman

Anymore?

... you're missing David 'Rehab' Hasselhoff from that list. Being 'Michael Knight' is the only decent thing that guy has ever done .... and please don't count 'Baywatch'! That pile of junk is still airing on TV here, under the name 'Baywatch Hawaii' or something. Just give up ...

I take it Seagull survived the mobbing in his 'motherland' and left Japan unscathed?

I think he was named as a reincarnation of a Tibetan Buddhist holy man. Rolling Eyes

I heard he had a falling out with the aikido hombu dojo because he made reference to Ueshiba, the founder of aikido, without the dojo's blessing. Something like that. A guy I used to work with said he was training at the hombu dojo when Segal walked in and met with a bunch of senior sensei. He said they went into a private room for a while, and everybody seemed more agreeable when they came out. Who knows?

True Story:

Seagal is quite known in the movie circles to be a bit "rough" on the stuntmen. After a scene he started bragging about how good he is and that he can't be choked out. Apparently he can defend the choke with his KI or some bull like that. Unfortunately for him one of the stuntmen was an elderly guy called "judo" Gene LeBell(anybody who follows MMA would know who he is). So Gene took him up on the offer. He choked out Seagal cold! To the extent that Saegal actually pee'd his pants when he passed out (sometimes comon occurance - you lose control of your body when choked out).

Yeah, apparently the 'muscles from Brussels' is renowned for 'roughing-up' his extras. When asked why he did such a thing, he exclaimed that he wasn't willing to compromise the 'reality/candid nature' of his films! Yeah, because Street Fighter had me convinced! What an acorn ...
