Hi,
My friend got a job with EF in Shenzhen. I am looking to get a job there as well so we can live there together and enjoy the experience of living abroad. So far every school that has contacted me and or I have found and applied to, i later find a bad review about them, telling me to "Stay Far Far away" Can anyone point me to a good school?? My lease is up July 1st I need to get myself a job asap. Any leads would be greatly appreciated.
thankss |

Not a lot of posters on here in Shenzhen I'm afraid.
Try Shenzhen Stuff to get more info from people actually on the ground in Shenzhen. You need to sign up for the site but it's free and quick. |

There's a group on SZstuff for ESL teachers as well. Check that out, a few people on there might have some semi-solid leads for you. |

yeah just signed up but i need to wait for an approval before i can access the site, grrrr. I see that someone posted that they need parttime teachers, which would work good for me as well because i can probably make good money just by tutoring no? |

The guy who runs that site (an American) is usually quick to approve new members. As for tutoring, lots of that available, as in most places in China. |

You might also want to check out www.shenzhenparty.com .
You might also consider looking into whether there is an online version of the "Shenzhen Daily" newspaper. |

Indeed there is. They post the whole paper online every day.

I get it most days, but as far as I remember, I've never seen job ads.
Futian has a lot of schools of various types, largely an upper end residential district I guess. I think Shekou out west has more schools. |

The job market for teachers in Shenzhen is a bit tighter than it was two years ago but there are still plenty of jobs for native speakers with the requisite qualifications, degree + TEFL cert., along with a willingness to teach kids. EF always seems to be hiring, and there are other big language chains in SZ like Wall Street and Linguaphone. As the sayings go, there's always room for one more and the more the merrier! |

How about adult teaching jobs in Shenzhen?? Any recommendations - full- or part time. I am in Australia and looking at relocating to Shenzhen, probably on an F visa.
Thanks all. |
