hi all, hoping to come down to peru in two to three weeks. i was looking over the recommended vaccinations and was wondering if there were any places in peru where i could get them instead of prolonging my stay here in the states. also, is anybody in trujillo actually taking anti-malarial pills or is that just not necessary? |

Yep,t here are intl clinics, but they might be harder to find outside of LIma and if you don't speak the language. Better to get them beforehand, at least 2 weeks ahead of time, because you might get sick
Anti malaria, haven't heard of anyone taking those outside of those poeple in the jungle.
Besides, the side affects to the pills are often worse than the disease. |

You absolutely do not need to take anti-malarials in Trujillo. You also don't need a yellow fever injection unless you are going deep into the jungle.
I would recommend you get tetanus boosters, your hep injections - this is a series so you need to be organised and probably typhoid - although it only lasts about a year anyway I think. |
