Could someone tel me what happen after the interview is passed with HCT?
Do they usually send an offer by email or regular mail?
What documents usually they require you to bring to them?
Do they check qualifications before they send the offer or after? |

About 1-2 weeks after you get notification that you passed the interview, you'll get an offer by email. If you accept it, they'll send you a security clearance form to complete (it's basically an immigration form) and they'll contact your references and have them complete a recommendation form. Once they receive the info back on these forms (another 1-2 weeks) they will send you some disks and forms via FEDEX. The HR people have been very helpful and quick in their responses to questions about the relo process, etc. HCT requires degrees to be sent directly from your universities, so the attestation hurdle with degrees isn't an issue, but if you've got a spouse or dependents who will be accompanying you, birth certificates/marriage licenses have to be attested, so if you don't have certified copies, go ahead and request them now so you can start that process. |

But, sometimes, you can languish around in the talent pool seemingly FOREVER. A former supervisor of mine spent a year waiting around for an offer. I actually know of someone else who had a friend in the system contact her supervisor directly and let her know that she (the applicant!) was in the pool. Sometime, especially, if you know someone who is in need of staff, it works to be pro-active.
That being said, most of us at ZU got offers in a timely fashion after successfully interviewing.

So, is it a norm to sign the actual contract when you get to UAE after the medical exam? |

Yes... the official contract. But, don't worry, there will be no sudden surprises with HCT. (as long as all tests are passed and clearances completed...)

I only mobilized here once, but, yeah, that's what happened. I came over with an Offer of Employment. I imagine that if you fail the medicals...a really loud YOINKing sound will be heard.

Thanks for all the responsis,
When you say check references, do you mean the people I put as a reference or the people I worked for (My old job) to verify experience?
Is it guaranteed that you will be selected by one of the colleges for a job if you pass the interview? |

No... nothing is guaranteed in this life. You don't know anything for sure until you have an offer from a particular college.
And even then, there is area for glitches every step of the way. (bad reference, failed medical test, failed security check...)
