Hi--does anyone know anything about camping in Taiwan? By camping I mean real camping, where I walk into the deep woods, fish, build a fire, eat my fish, clean up, and leave when after a night or two. Any links to regulations about this? Are fires allowed, for example? |

I've gone camping several times in Maolin National Park. I'm not exactly sure if it was legal, but we never had anyone come ask us to leave, and we had raging 40 foot high "campfires ". As for the fishing, I'm not sure, but the camping was no issue in my experience. |

Ping Lin has some nice camping. We built a fire by the river.
Also, you can camp on a farm in Taoyuan County...
I camped for three days at Spring Scream one time, LOL...
Yea, people camp here. I'd recommend asking your Chinese T.A.'s where to go.
