| I did an internet based writing job for a guy and wrote some long articles for him. He agreed on a payment for each of the articles but has now disappeared after I submitted all of the work. I have written him by email but he is not replying. How can I get him to pay me for the work? |

Sorry to say, but it looks like you just wrote those articles for free.
Unless you have a contract and the court system in India respects the contract and the terms of the contract.

Even then, if internet is all you have to contact this guy, he may have just disappeared completely.

Was this written for online publication?
If so, wait a few weeks for it to go up, then google recognisable segments of your work. If you have a copy, and it gets put up on line, you should be able to find it.
This probably won't help you get paid for it, but will let you know where he is, so you can send him a lot of emails, look for ways to discredit his website, write on your blog about how he didn't pay you.
Poor substitutes for getting paid, but if you have some free time you might as well give the guy a hard time.

Is it possible to get the ISP of the guy and report him somewhere? |

Sad to say it, but it seems like a pretty hopeless case. Where are you, and where/who is he, and how did you originally get in touch with him? If it is posted online, the google advice above is GREAT!!! Thinking outside the box! |

How did you contact this guy? Was it only by email? Does he have a web site? No mailing address at all? No phone number? Where exactly was he when you corresponded?
There are ways of locating people, not 100% foolproof.
Can you do an Internet search for keywords in what you wrote? See if he has published it (online or otherwise) already, and then contact the publisher or web site where you find it. Then complain! |

I agree that if you want to track down where it went then the best way would be to highlight a block of your text and then put it in a Google search.
It may turn up which may at least help you to locate the person. What happens from there is a completely different story of course but at least you will have a lead.
Are these academic pieces? Is it possible that someone was using you to write something for an academic qualification? |

I suggest you give us more information about this, otherwise, handle this yourself offline.... Read your own posts and consider if you've really given us enough info to help you... I assume you're in india.... where is he, etc????????????? |
