I want to start a blog, and I already have at blogger, but I really don't like it. I like the format, it's visually pleasing, but it's way to hard to upload photos and put up text around it. It takes forever to upload photos, and then it doesn't put the photos where I want them, and then when I rearrange them it screws up the formatting, it literally took me 6 hours to put up one blog entry.

Is there a better site out there? For free. I don't want them to delete my blog once i stop paying.

I second the WordPress suggestion. It's one of the most widely used platforms, and they keep improving.

Third for wordpress. There's an inbuilt gallery function that allows you to place images in text.

I use 'wordpress', but really I think there are not a lot of differences between them. But I haven't tried to load any photos on my blog, so I'll bend to those with more blogging expereince.
