Sorry to repeat this, MOD EDIT
Supposing 1 is American, lives in America with 2, his wife. She is of Vietnamese descent, holds a Vietnamese passport, has a permanent Green Card.
A is "Viet Kieu", lives in America.
B is A's brother, lives in VN.
1 and 2 legally and transparently bought a house some time ago in Vietnam, and now they want to sell it. They go to VN and do so.
So they sell the house, give the money to B. B reports to A that he has received the money.
When 1 and 2 get back to America, A gives the money to them, less a fee he takes for his service.
DO YOU SEE ANY PROBLEMS HERE???!!:
1.HOW would A get this money???? He can't actually recieve it from B, since B has the same restrictions on sending the money that 1 and 2 would have, if they tried to do it, while they were in VN.
2.How could you possibly trust A?????? Even if it were a close relative, there could be A LOT of problems here.......Can't you imagine this?: "What money?" "I didn't get any money. Check with me tomorrow......." (and on and on and on......)
Any recent, specific information on how to LEGALLY get money out of VN, in the case of the sale of a house, would be much appreciated. |

Back in the day, say before 2001, this was the main way VK sent money back to VN. Now most use Western Union. I had the same concerns as you but never had a problem. Keep in mind the amount I sent was never over a few thousand U.S.
Just my 2 cents |
