I want to submit a book for ESL to a publisher in China. Can anyone offer any advice?

Yes, it has to be approved buy the Ministry of Education, you need to have proper credentials (Ph D?), and lots of guangxi ....

You are really get on many forumites' nerves .... and as usual you aren't bringing anything to the topic; please mind your own business.

My former boss (2005) and 2 former FT colleagues have published a book; which book had to go to BJ at 3 occasions for approval by the Ministry of Education; I know it by fact for I was supposed to be in charged of illustrations but politely passed on it ...

Yes, books must be certified as publishable by the government.

Where is your evidence to support need of "guanxi" and "credentials" ?

I'm an M.D. with a Master Degree as well and published a medical education book with two supporting authors (neither of which was Chinese nor had a Ph.D. nor supposed "guanxi")

The OP is asking about publishing an TEFL/TESL book presuming for sale at Chinese Schools and Universities ...

You, are referring to a paper published in a magazine ... unless you could provide us with a proper ISBN ... but ...
