Mr Dude I was gobsmacked by your new apparition.
Maybe I should change my name to NCTBG.

No chance of turning the other cheek then?

Wise decision I'd say Mr K! Good to hear that's it worth the time some of us take to make sure others know about the bad apples. |

This lot have sunk to a new all time low! They gathered all their departing staff in one room last week, told them they definitely weren't getting unconditional letters of no objection, refused to pay them money owing before departure and had them all sign visa cancellation forms clearly indicating they had been paid everything they were owed.
One does wonder where ADEC fits in the supervision of outfits that treat its staff as this company does.
The new managing director has proven himself no more capable than those he's surrounded by and toes the line as all good little men do. |

Did any of those who left CfBT back in June get their money owing to them up to the end of July? Would be good to know if anyone got paid once they'd signed the visa cancellation. |

Zoot - I can well imagine that people had problems with money. This may well be due to the general shambolic nature of the office, not noted for the competence of its staff. The only one of my friends to leave this year did get paid all of the money owing to her, including the July pay, but she may well be a shining exception. |

I think the shambolic nature of the local office is just the trickle down from the top. That's where all the shambles begins according to people who've been there in person. How Brunei has managed to be the odd one out is what mystifies me given the fellow who used to be in charge there is now in the UAE and there are still no improvements on the horizon. |

CFBT are now advertising (via a flyer on their website) that their salaries are in the range of 225-300K AED/year.
I also heard that Nord Anglia work you quite hard on a day-to-day basis, like doing training sessions after work. Generally, as a partnership/advisory teacher, you'll be working around 7am till 2-3ish in the afternoon...and that's all across the board.
Providers with 'good' reputations are:
Nord Anglia
SSAT
Mosaica
Cognition
GEMS
Edison (Taalim)
CFBT appear to not be so bad now, I guess it depends on who you report to as well to a large extent.
(I know this as I have a friend who has been working for CFBT over the past 3 or so years and he knows people who work for other providers) |

HI,
Has anyone got any recent information on what it is like to work for the following operators. I'm ok with the package offered as it is about the same for all but what are they like as employers?
Nord Anglia
SSAT
GEMS
CfBT
I have passed interviews and am 'in the pool' with all four. I understand school are being inspected now and positions will be offered very soon.
I have been most impressed by the HR dept from CfBT. From these forums however, it seems they had a pretty bad reputation last year and before. Have things improved?
Many thanks |
