Anyone got any info on this school? I can't find anything. Also, does anyone have anything nice to say about living in Dongguan? I know the school is in Dongcheng, which I hear is the better part of town. Is Dongguan just another Chinese city, or does it stand out in anyway?
Also, is it convenient to get to Guangzhou or Shenzhen for the weekend?
What is there to do in Dongguan in terms of night life, restaurants etc..? |

Dongguan is about midway between Shenzhen and Guangzhou on the Shenzhou freeway. Depending on traffic it takes an hour to go from Dongguan to either Shenzhen or Guangzhou. People go THROUGH Dongguan and according to another poster there's a good reason for that! Sorry I don't have more info. |

Donguan has a reputation for hookers and crime. It's an industrial (very) city. |

Yes, a lot of Taiwanese (and others) factories here. With the global economic downturn, this city is one of the hardest-hit in the province, with many factories closed over night and their owners gone. |
