Church? Workplace? Other 'interest group' gatherings?

Anyone here know if the "working girls" hang out near DMC branch of HCT waiting for the boys to get out of class each afternoon? This started with the first wave who arrived by planeload from the ex-USSR for a locally funded major shopping trip on their tourist visa.

Now that they have moved into the hotels, malls, and bars to work, they may have stopped working the streets.

Try the elevators of the Dusit Dubai (and others on the Sheikh Zayed road) - many 5* hotels are "haunted" by ladies in shaylas and abayas trying to turn tricks in the elevators. btw the ladies are not usually muslim just using camouflage/

It never ceases to amaze me how alcohol is tightly regulated (or in Sharjah's case, forbidden) and yet selling one's innermost private parts is so tolerated.

Then again, when I read the stats for road accidents in the UAE I'm glad that the death toll isn't made a lot worse by drunk drivers!

I believe the walk in trade can still score around Burjuman Centre (The Golden Sands apt building area)

VS - DMC has been out in Education /Knowledge City for 3 or 4 years now (or whatever it's called) the ladies would be even more conspicuous sitting out by the long winding road which gives entry to the campus

DMC is in Academic City, near Al Ruwayya on the Al Ain road. Not a place to hang around waiting for tricks. But I don't recall seeing such activity at the old campus in Abu Hail either although there was (still is) a Russian shop nearby where no one spoke English.

One wonder if the campus was moved to avoid this activity. Laughing I heard it from some of the teachers at DWC back in the very early 90s just after the fall of the USSR. We were all rather shocked at this sudden influx of blatant street work.

Bad news- Nobody is open to normal dating.

Like any city, prostitution exists . It is more visible in some areas.

Raindrop- you seem very upset about this. Take it easy.

I'm confused... is this meant to be a joke? If not, what do you mean? I seem to recall significant amount of normal dating going on... although at that time the number of singles was much fewer than now. Laughing
