A foreigner in our school worked there 2 years ago.
These are her comments, not mine - I have no firsthand knowledge. I'm just passing it along. Again, the time was 2 year ago, so maybe it's different now.
They provide no housing and she spent more than 1/3 of salary on housing/utilities/etc.
Bonuses are incentive/performance based - OF COURSE !! But many people the judging system of such bonuses is commonly unfair and no real pathway to follow
They demanded she come to China with an L visa, which she did, then only received an F visa on arrival and it took just a tad over 6 months (after arrival in China) to get a Z visa
She worked solidly from before 8:00 AM to after 5:30 PM, Monday - Friday, never leaving the school during that time
Her contract said 12-15 students per class, but actually had 25 for most of the year (but not all) |
