I notice that Dave's just posted a job ad for some teaching positions in Chile. The positions are being handled through a placement agency. The job positions look interesting, but when I read through the ad I notice that it is mandatory to download and complete one of their online applications forms. Included on the web page with the download form is this tidbit:

"- A U.S. $50 non-refundable application fee (click here for instructiions." (sic)

Nice. So just to apply you have to send them $50 US, and of course there's no guarantee of a job - or even proof that these jobs really exist.

Yeah, don't pay anyone to find you job in Santiago. There is plenty of work between March and Christmas as well as lots of private lesson possibilities.

Hello, this is my first time to post and my question is: Where would I look for jobs in Chili if there are so many?

1. Get your hands on a list of schools in the city your are in (going to).

2. Print off several copies of your CV.

If you are living in Chile just do an internet search on language institues and start firing out resumes. Also check the elmercurio classifieds on their website and www.computrabajo.cl (a job posting site).
