I can unfortunately relate - I'm located in the 'grass-is-greener-here' Netherlands -
of course it's green, it gets watered all too regularly
(though I have to admit today's spectacular - hopefully this high pressure's heading your way and you'll get some sun tomorrow;)) |

To Glenlivet: AUGURI! Congratulations, well done, and can I just say that I'm glad Italy got you and not Spain!! I am so excited for you, and I hope everything goes to plan. I'm sure you'll be letting us know how you get on.
Spiral: after 30+ temps it has now cooled down. Sth about an anticyclone from Spain. Just as it was beginning to be beach weather too... Where are you exactly in NL, anyway? |

I used to think it was quite funny, when I lived in the English Lake District, to hear tourists (usually Americans - sorry!) saying "it's beautiful but doesn't it ever stop raining?". Green and pleasant land with LAKES!!! Of course it bloody rains |

We have at least two 'mountainlets' in the region:)
Why I need the 24 gears on my bike. Come visit sometime when you get spoiled on Italy and miss the rain |

| Queen, if you please. Moundains. Very clever - and accurate - though we've valleys and plateaus too! |

Blimey, you guys need a chat function!
Maastricht is lovely Spiral. Perhaps the nicest city in NL?? At least the people there are the loosest, most laid-back of the lot. I once taught a couple of guys from there - typical Limburgers and a very healthy two-fingered kind of attitude towards the uptight "Calvinist to the underpants" Dutch of the north... Phew - a long sentence, but hope you'll forgive. |
