Set A: The set of potential teachers who've been offered jobs at KAU who have posted that fact here: 6
Set B: The set of potential teachers who've been offered jobs at KAU who come here, read the posts, but don't post themselves: ~ 2x Set A (normal probability for a website)
Set C: The set of all potential teachers who've been offered jobs at KAU who don't come to this site: ~5x Set B (intelligent guess).
I can predict upwards of 6 x 2 x 5 have been offered jobs at KAU. 12 x 5 takes it to about 60 people being offered jobs there by now.
You can fool some people all the time, KAU. But some of us are wise birds.

I don't get your figures, rigel. If 50 (perhaps more) have been invited, and they were recruiting, say, 200, then they've only gotten a quarter of the way.
Do you know what the size of the faculty should/would be in the coming year? I heard the program was expanding.
I've seen some enormous programs before, and they can have a lot of headaches, but it can be a good laugh too. Lighten up a bit. What can they do to you anyway?
Are you working in KSA now? Have you worked overseas before? Have you worked with a big department such as the one (I suspect) is being amassed at KAU? I would imagine that for every offer provided, that at least 50% decline.
We should be hearing from approximately 75 people on this thread in the near future, huh? |

200 being added? I'd say that's some info that's useful. Finally. Thanks, Green, a username that's wet behind the ears and all but a week old. I appreciate it. |

24 hours, but to be fair, I was notified by the recruiter, not KAU |

I think I've been blackballed by these guys, as I've not heard a thing from 'em since my interview about 5 weeks ago. No worries, though. A split-shift day that starts at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 10:30 p.m. with meetings on one day off isn't what I'm looking for. |

I'm not really considering it, as I've moved past that stage. I'm entering the MA-acquisition stage now. But I will give some 'consideration' to somebody who called me one evening from KSA and bent my ear for well over an hour.
If I got exactly what I wanted today contract-wise, I'd do it. But pigs will grow wings first. |

Unfortunately, I know you guys are right. Miracles don't happen, at least not to me. Not in TESOL.
Now I trudge off towards the master's degree. |
