Can anyone recommend a good mill to work at?
By good, i mean "not screw u over" type of place, gets ur visa, pays u...u know, that sorta thing.

There are two English First schools in Chengdu, one of them, in the center of town is a pretty good place to work, for an English school. The DOS is a good guy to work for, no messing around, no hints, just clear communication.

Web pays better, and you don't have to go through the hell of teaching little brats with their whole family looking on at the weekends. My friend who worked at the central EF didn't have great things to say about it in comparision with the other positions that you can get.

I once heard that Web requires you to stay in the center for the whole day = 8 hours ...

There are quite a few parents around on the weekends, but the doors are shut, so they cant see in anyway.

One concern that I have and where the horror stories seem to come from is the work visa.
Can they get the work visa?
And does anyone know what the pay is like?

99.99% of private language centers DO NOT provide visa and accommodation in China. They operate illegally, do not pay taxes, do not pay insurances, do not have a business license even if some have nice offices...

Say no to EF. EF is the Mcdonalds of teaching with slogans like if you have time to lean you have time to clean. EF kisses the parents butts so you have to put up with all their input.
