Looks like a local recruiter has hijacked this thread ...


Just so you dont make the same mistake again, I thought a hint might help.

A recruiter would try to get between the teacher and the firm, that way they get money from introducing them. The last thing they would do is to send them to a school.

The OP asked for a good mill in Chengdu. I happen to work for one, and thought I would offer it up. EF has a bad rep, but as it is a franchise, they are going to vary.

I'm not in China at the minute.

Basically, all I want to know is how it extreme it is with working hours. Are they 24+ classes a week all evening and weekend work with hardly any time off with even more classes over holidays etc.

Yep, weekend work, no to much evening work, yes to not a lot of days off. You will get two days a week off, and if you are lucky they will be back to back.

Max class hours is 20 per week. I havent had 20 in the 2 months I have been working there.

Class size up to 14.
