I have been in contact with the Caledonian School and am thinking of applying to teach there beginning Fall 2004. I would appreciate hearing from anyone (especially those in their middle years - I'm in my fifties) who is currently teaching there or who has recently taught there. I have lots of experience teaching ESL to adults in the U.S. and also in Mexico, Spain and England, so moving abroad is not something new to me, and I am looking forward to becoming an expatriate again! I am more concerned about how closely reality resembles the description of this school as portrayed on its website. Does the salary offered cover living expenses? I would not mind sharing an apartment in Prague and am not an extravagant person though I do want to be able to take advantage of the cultural attractions of the city and so some traveling while I'm there. Any comments (both negative and positive) would be greatly appreciated.[/b] |

I worked for them a few years ago and was treated well by them. I was in Mlada Boleslav-and preferred it to Prague. I too was in my 50's. The teachers at the Prague location seemed so "into themselves". Prague was less than hour away-good transport for day trips into Prague.
Email me for more info if you like. |

Hello to you both,
I know this was a while ago, but your opinions about Mlada would help me very much. Any thought, advice, suggestion would be much appreciated. Thank you. |
