But, is this thread the right place for this question. What does it have to do with the King Feisal school?

| Just to bring this up to date. KFS has improved in the last few years. There is a western principal in MYP/DP and a growing number of western teachers. The working hours are 6.45 - 2.45 and once a month there is PD on a Saturday (half-day). HR has improved and you get paid what you are promised on time. Accommodation is ok - nothing too fancy but serviceable. Salaries are not as high as other schools in KSA but still ok. Students can be a handful and you do need classroom management skills or they will run rings around you. Local and other Arab teaching staff do not seem as committed as they should and changing attitudes is ongoing! Current contracts are one year renewable. It isn't a bad place to do a few years and save as KSA is quite cheap compared to Qatar and the UAE. The previous bad rep was probably justified but KFS is no longer the snakepit it was once known as. BTW I am not management, I promise! |
