| Also lessons tend not be held too late in the evening. If a lesson started at 10pm, a lot of people might miss the last train home afterwards. |

Out of curiousity, how common are traditional dojos as opposed to sports dojos? I'd like to start training again when I head over, but I would really want to avoid places that train for elaborate games of "tag" as it were.
Not that I have anything against sports centered martial arts, they have their niche, but I've been there and done that, and don't really want to go back to it. |

| Well, I had my Interac interview, so I'm hoping for an ALT position. Otherwise, another school is interested in me, and we may be able to work things out since you dont have to be at school unless you are teaching. |

What is a "sports dojo"? I have to admit I don't have any experience with that. The only dojos I know of are as you would say "traditional". Some of the venues are occaisionally different than the family-operated dojos, held in places like gyms or training centers, but the tutelage isn't that much different. |

| the kind of places that focus more on point sparing and tourneys. or places that hand out belts for achieving nothing but paying money for em. that might just be around where i'm from though. |
