What I know about the CDS is that it's in a good area of San Jose (Escazu), where the prices to live are a bit high but it's a very nice area. There are parts of Escazu that are totally overrun by gringos, not sure if that is an issue for you. It's a primary school I think (up to 13-14 years?) and has a good reputation, but I've never heard anything specifically related to discipline issues. It's a high-profile private school though, so I doubt it's anything like public schools here.
There are several universities and colleges that use English primarily, it should be pretty easy to find them using Google (google.co.cr).
No scorpions in the big city, though in more rural areas you can find them. And here (in the city) too, if you are really unlucky. Nothing to worry about though, I've been living here for almost two years and have never seen one or heard about anyone who has. |
