I've recently been offered a contract at a new EF school located in Pejaten. I'm also awaiting a response from two other other schools that seem promising.
I've never been to Indonesia and I've been trying to figure out if this location is best suited for me. I'm wondering if anyone is familiar with Pejaten, Indonesia. I did a bit of research and it doesn't look as dirty as other parts of Indonesia (feel free to correct me if I am wrong). One negative is that I've looked on Google Map and it appears that it is quite far from a beach. Does anyone have an idea of how long it would take to get to the beach from this area? I'm from Florida and I would need to get my scuba diving fix every month or so...
Also, aside from Bali, where are the best locations to teach English in Indonesia and frequent the beach on days off?
Thanks so much! |

You could try Makassar, Palembang, Banten, Batam, Manado, Cirebon etc. It really depends what school you want to work for. Have you searched dive sites here and then matched to their nearest cities? |

Could someone clarify which Pejaten in Indonesia has an EF? The only Pejaten's I'm familiar with which 'may' have an EF is the one in South Jakarta, near Kemang.
