I was under the impression that STA and BAE contracts were essentially the same thing...except that BAE hired British subjects only...whereas STA took in any old schmuck...paying less money and offering fewer benefits, of course. I was keeping STA in mind if I ever decided to return to Saudi...bad idea?

You have been misinformed, or misled.

BAE certainly has no British Only rule; two years ago they were certainly recruiting Americans, South Africans, Canadians, Australians etc.

STA, however, seem to be far less organised and they don't offer nearly so good a package.

Your best bet would be to go for BAE Systems.
