Hiya, wonder if anyone can help with this one. I've got a place on a CELTA course lined up for later this year and also have 5-6 years experience working in legal. I've heard mention of this English for Specific Purposes teaching and wondered if my work experience would mean I could teach legal English to professionals in Japan - are there any schools I should look at and is there much call for it? Any help gratefully received, cheers.

ESP covers a lot of areas, and teaching to lawyers and law professionals is just one of them (could also be called business English in a sense). Yes, if you have some background in that field, you are perhaps more qualified than the ordinary EFL teacher to work with that. See the FAQ stickies about business English agencies and contact them.

BTW,
I'm on an organizing committee for a conference this October where the theme is ESP/EAP.
