hey! so I'm moving to vietman (ho chi mihn) next month and i have a job at an international elementary school. They said that when i move there i have to meet the health requirements which includes a blood test, xray, and other general tests.....I want to know if anyone has done this and if they know what they are testing for. NO i am not worried about the results but I would like to understand what they are testing.

also are there any girls sports teams in ho chi mihn?

I have read about different ppl's opinions of the best districts to live but anyone care to share more?

They are mainly checking for the presence of communicable diseases like tuberculosis and HIV.

Field hockey, Saturday afternoons at Parkland.

The health check is for your work permit, and like inky says, is about communicable diseases. Go to Cho Ray hospital and it takes a half day, mostly waiting around.

Not for the ladies...lots of men playing...room for more. I'm not certain, however, but I'm pretty sure.

tennis is great here...ultimate leagues, softball, and hashing.

jfmann, I am moving to HCMC in a couple of days and plan on finding a soccer game asap. I will let you know what I uncover. Glad to know I am not the only one looking. Cool
