I've seen taller used for "workshop" in various different educational contexts, e.g. workshops for teachers, and research workshops on specific topics for university researchers, to name just two.
From my experience, it definitely is the right word.
P.S. I saw a sign yesterday that read Taller de Verano advertising a keep-the-kids-busy-over-the-summer-holidays day camp slash summer school type of thing. Wow, look at all the different summer workshops there are: http://www.google.com/search?q="taller+de+verano"+site%3Amx. |
