AEON is still hiring oodles of people.
Didn't someone just post somewhere that AEON has a backlog of people for the next year?

Yes that was me, heres the original post:

I interviewed with Aeon over the weekend and they made it quite clear that they have a backlog of people waiting for placements. They're still accepting applications and have more interviews scheduled for October.

That's strange. I interviewed in February, got an offer in March, and arrived in June. So did a bunch of other people who only interviewed recently. Backlog? Maybe that's their way of saying "Don't call us, we'll call you." ?

Yeah could be, they mentioned it a few times. Your story is reassuring Smile

How long did it take before you got an offer? Also, did they place you in the area that you asked for?

It could be, but that's a 5 month gap between your interview and jerkytheturkey'.

The bunch of you who only just arrived would have all had to have been interviewed and accepted by April at the latest in order to have had your visas sorted in time.

Perhaps when you interviewed in Feb (possibly up until April) there were many positions open but now they have been filled (the info about backlogs is from a mail dated June 11th).
