Hello, I have a technical question and I was wondering if anyone has any experience or specific information about these things.

I taught in Tokyo at a chain language school for two years. I now live and work in Germany, I came here in late April, but I am considering moving back to Japan later this year or eariler next year.

Question 1.
When i left my company I was given all of the things to claim my pension refund. I handed in my ARC card and health care card at the airport as i left. If I start the process of claiming my pension refund, will this prevent me from reentering the country?

Question 2.
My visa is still valid until 2011. I was under the (false?) impression that when I quit my job, as my company was sponsoring the visa, my visa would become invalid. For this reason, i did not purchase a reentry visa. Can I reenter on this visa?

A summary.
Should I submit my Pension refund forms?

Do I need a new visa to reenter Japan?

Any help is much appreciated.

I don't about the first question, but as to the second, if you left without a re-entry permit, your visa is now invalid regardless of the expiry date. You will need to apply for a new one if you intend to come back to work.

Yes and (almost certainly barring very unusual circumstances and luck) yes.
