What does "in vein" mean? Do you mean "in vain"? |

I am really surprised cause I got a preliminary job offer like 2 weeks ago. I am asking to read some info - a syllabus, about life, the process, bla bla bla.
The HR meneger just wrote:
The process is as follows:
As we finish processing your papers here, we will send them to the saudi cultural attache there in your country of nationality. When they receive them, they'll probably contact you, and give you all the instructions you'll need.
Concerning housing ,I've sent you a websit link to visit ; it' s a good place that provides housing with a reasonable price.
So that's it? I know that getting to Saudi is hard, so I need a lot of info. Who has taught in KAU, please, tell me how is it there? |

If you have general questions about living in Jeddah, or about the syllabus, you would be better off talking to someone from the English dept, either a teacher or the director. HR assistants are normally only concerned with paperwork - processing visas and salaries, that sort of thing. This is particularly true in a large institution like KAAU. |

I guess I put it wrong - the person I am dealing with is from English Language Institute
Recruitment Unit.
That's why I am concerned. Who should I talk to?
I have no idea, that's the only person I've been in touch.
If this is a huge institution, aren't they supposed to have a lot of printed materials availabe for download? I know other places have stuff like that, with lots of manuals to download with all the steps people have to take. |
