IH in Saudi Arabia is now in a hot seat. A leading UK university is investigating IH concerning the illegal use of copyrighted materials (mass reproduction of placement tests, books, etc.).

The snake (why I would insult a self-respecting snake is beyond me) who owns IH Saudi is not worth the spit it would take to put out a match. He is on some kind of power trip against the labour that works for him. There are places where the teachers make decent salaries but most of the teachers are shifted from job to job on a whim and with little or no notice. Passports are held as ransom so that those who are working illegally cannot escape his clutches. To work in the kingdom a person must be on a work visa but most of his labour is supplied by Philipinos and other Bangalis who will work for almost nothing. The teachers usually are working on business visas in violation of saudi law and could probably be deported or possible imprisoned for violating that law that prohibits working on a business visa. Pay is on time but does not always match the contract if he (al Q) can avoid paying the full amount. I spose if a guy wants to live out of a suitcase in a desert with no checkout for SAR 6 or 7000 per month then IH Saudi is OK. The admin for IH Saudi is a Philipino Muslim who doubles as a spy for the head snake and is not to be trusted either. When you get that call or e-mail from Omar the tent makewr you have to know you are talking to a Philipino muslim spy and not to a common saudi spy.

Right now the high prices for Glen Livet and Russian girls in Bharain are looking less and less unattractive.

If you're working for International House I think you need to seriously forget girls in Bahrain or anywhere else because you won't be seeing a woman for a long long long time courtesy of S AL Q.
There are NO trips to Bahrain- can we repeat that please, people.
S AL Q will of course warn you that the reason he is not prepared to let you see your passport from now until doomsday is 'to protect you from yourself' and the high likelihood of you catching HIV- if you go to Bahrain.
Paradoixically, this doesn't stop many of the Philipinno clerks doubling up as rent boys to top up their salaries- which S AL Q thinks is perfectly fine.
Begging to go to Bahrain simply allows S AL Q to express his well know opinions that westerners are filthy.
You could of course convert to Islam and start your own harem of Arab women from poorer Muslim countries which, as I recall, many of the long term IH *Muslim* teachers had seen as a clever way around the problem.
