Just curious what kind of salary should I be expecting as an English teacher, and if I have a EU passport does it make things any easier?

Answered on a gazillion other threads but never mind.

EU passport - good, no EU passport - difficult.
You have given us no info about what teaching qualifications you have or don't have, nor what your general level of qualifications are, degree, high school etc. these will make a difference.
How old are you?
Do you have experience?
Where do you want to go?
Why do you want to come to Poland - no-one comes here to save money, because you can't really save money.
Where you want to go will influence what people/groups you will teach - there fore this is important too. Krakow - not much business, mostly exam classes, Warsaw - lots of business, exam classes as well.

Assuming you have a CELTA, are mid twenties, and fairly new, don't have earrings (if you are a man), nor tattoos and you're white (Poland still is a racist country and if you appear non-native you probably will have difficulty looking for business work, it's said but true) then in Warsaw you should try to get a złoty a minute net, in Krakw a złoty a minute gross (-18%).

If you locate the search function, or better still look at the thread American in Poland you'll find LOADS of discussion about this.
