Well there certainly is a time dif from Cambodia, if that's where you are.
Scotland is about 200 years ahead of England, except when it comes to football or rugby. Then we're about 200 years behind, sadly. Enjoy your trip. |

Time difference between England and Scotland ?
Periodically this comes up in public debate when British Summer Time is discussed.
Should the North of Scotland be on the same time zone as the South of England ? Changing the clocks - a lunatic notion in any case - often sparks off the debate in the top end of the Disunited Kingdom. |

| Given the sorry state of football in Scotland, I'd say we're two THOUSAND years behind them southerners. |

| After yesterday's result I'd probably extend that to 20,000 years. But then I'm a blue nose and finally accepted our season is over |

Elgin City? Bloody H*ll!
I suppose we should all just be glad we're not Leicester City fans at the moment. |

| Just to add to the list, most of the Gulf Arabs are as ignorant of the outside world as any. |

Dear Snoopy,
True enough - ignorance about the "outside world" is widespread all over the globe (except, of course, among EFL/ESL teachers). But in Saudi Arabia, I noticed a significant change that started after the introduction of satellite TV in '92 there. There was a marked increase in knowledge - and, in must also admit, misinformation - in the students I taught in the late 90s, early 21st century as compared to those I'd taught before.
Regards,
John |

Ignorance is bliss.
That's why all my students are so happy all the time. |

| Hey, DMB, it's Aberdonians and Invernesians who do unspeakable things with sheep. Elgin City supporters just get drunk. |

Hey, I'm an Aberdonian girl and I can't even begin to imagine how I could go about molesting a sheep! Surely it's anatomically impossible. Anyway at least we are a proper "city" so there!
I can't answer for the Invernesians though. All those mullets must signify something... |
