Hello everyone!

I have accepted a job offer and need some help with the Visa process. I was looking at the website and it had a lot of information but I totally don't understand it. I called the embassy and whewwwwwwwwwwww, the lady was very rude! Here is the list of what I need to do. If you have done this before and can guide me through it, it would be greatly appreciated.

1. A passport valid for at least six (6) months, with at least two (2) clear visa pages adjacent to each other.
2. One (1) recent passport size color photograph with a white background; the photograph must be a full-face view in which the visa applicant is facing the camera directly. Side or angled views are NOT accepted.
3. A completed application form filled in with black ink pen or printed. Application forms can be downloaded from the website (www.saudiembassy.net). Please include your email address on the application, if available.
4. A reference note showing the number and date of the residence visa issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or its branches in Jeddah or Dammam.
5. The original letter from the company in Saudi Arabia sponsoring the applicant, certified both by a Saudi Chamber of Commerce and Industry and by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This letter MUST indicate the block visa number and date as well as the position and name of the person requested.
If this letter is being submitted through a visa service agency, then attached to the letter should be an authorization from the company allowing the agency to finalize all the requirements to obtain the visa, block visa number and date.
6. A certified and notarized copy of the applicant's university degree or diploma, which MUST be validated by the Saudi Arabian Cultural Mission in Washington DC (telephone 202-337-9450 or 202-298-8849).
For training or technical diplomas, certified and notarized copies MUST additionally be validated by the U.S. Department of State.
Degrees and diplomas need to be notarized by the Saudi Consulate: the fee is U.S. $8.00 (eight dollars) per page, payable to 'The Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia'. Cash and personal checks are not accepted.
Diplomas issued by an institution outside the U.S. should show the signature and the seal of the issuing countrys Consulate.
7. A copy of the employment contract signed by both the sponsor and the applicant. The position mentioned in the contract should match the position mentioned in the block visa reference, as should the academic degree the applicant holds and its major.
8. A release letter from the previous employer, if the applicant has worked in the Kingdom before. This applies only if the last employment in the Kingdom ended within the last three (3) years.
9. Three (3) copies of our medical report, along with three (3) passport size color pictures with a white background.
This medical report must be issued by a licensed physician who must sign each copy and must certify that the applicant is free of any contagious disease. The license number and address of the physician should appear on each copy. Medical reports should be used within three (3) months from the date of issuance.
Click here to download the medical report form (pdf format).
Children under the age of sixteen (16) do not need a medical report.
10. A recent police report, with detailed information about applicants criminal record, if any.
11. A money order or cashiers check in the amount of U.S. $14 (fourteen dollars) payable to 'The Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia'. Cash and personal checks are not accepted.
12. Log on to https://enjazit.com.sa/. Click on Apply for a visa to enter the Kingdom by Individuals and complete the online request for an Employment visa. It is important to record the request number on the application and present it to the consulate.

I am coming from California, USA.

Regards!

First you have to call saoudi airlines to have a reservation on or before september the 1st:

at# 1800472 8342

they will not pay your ticket (s ) unless you travel with the saoudi airlines .

Then print the medical report from the embassy's website and take it to your doctor, The x ray and some of the blood tests will take some time to be ready, make sure the doctor gives you the original test results, not copies.

if your diplomas'degrees are not issued by an american university, you have to certify them in the country of issue where you got them and in the saoudi embassy in that country.

"Number 11: ... Cash and personal checks are not accepted."

Shocked What the heck does this mean? Do they want Certified Checks? Or do they only take credit cards? Really? If so, shouldn't they list which ones?

I understand not taking personal checks... but no cash? So their staff in the Embassy are assumed to be thieves?

Just when I thought that the rules in Saudi couldn't be more bizarre, they up the ante...

I'm going through the same deal. I'm from California as well.

I keep hearing about bringing x-rays over on the trip, but don't see them mentioned in the visa documents.

Could someone point out where it states to bring your x-rays over, and who to give them to?

I have three similar but different lists of what needs to be done to get my degrees verified. One from the website, one from an embassy official that emailed me, and one from another embassy official who was answering a question I asked and attached another version of the list onto their reply.

At this point, I'm just trying to do everything and hope it all comes out OK. I still don't see any list that says "bring your x-rays" or who to give them to.

Ix

The x-ray is mentioned in the medical report together with the blood tests, urine tests...etc. Your doctor has to report the result of the x-ray (positive or negative) and has to give you the original report he received from the lab. You will certainely need these when you apply for the visa, and may be you will be asked to provide them later in Saoudi Arabia (Though I am not quite sure about this)

Hope this helps

You've been offered a job and you have to do all this stuff by yourself?? And who says you have to fly Saudia? That depends on the employer. Saudia is not the cheapest and some if not most Saudi private companies will book you on other airlines.

If I were you I would hire a private visa expeditor. There is certainly at least one good one in Washington. PM me if you want his contact info (if I can find it).
