Hi,
What would be a good salary for an expat teacher
in a primary or secondary international school ?
What else should the package include ?
I hear Muscat is much more expensive these days.
True or false ? |

Hi SaharaDesert
I'm not sure about international or secondary schools as I've never worked in them. However, if you're single in Muscat, I'd say don't settle for anything less than a base salary of 1000 OMR. This means that flights, accommodation, medical, transport allowance, etc must be provided on top of that amount.
Hope this helps. |

Essential questions! Yes! Yes! Yes! (My accommodation in Oman, as well as friends' and colleagues' accommodation, always came with furniture and A/C. Some employers provide a list along with the contract stating what will be provided. Request one if they don't volunteer one.) |
