Could someone help me please?

What is a HALL? I see many one bedroom and two bedroom flats rented with a hall? I even saw just a hall for rent, is that right? Pardon the naivete, perhaps my imagination is correct.

On another note, is it true that rental fees have dropped? I've been looking at it for a few months now and it seems to be less expensive now. Is that right? Will rates change in a period? Is there a good time to buy/rent an apartment? Thanks!

In my experience, it means a small villa/apartment without a living room but with a large, straight-from-the-street entrance hall which is also the communal area, i.e. the living room.
Rentals have dropped in Dubai, check out the local papers. Our landlord has many vacant properties and there are properties being vacated each day, judging by the removal trucks/containers I see in the area.

Don't even think about buying!! Way too many people have been completely burned by this market, which doesn't provide you with a visa if you buy... or a decent system for re-sales...

Thanks.

I was wondering if there are seasons for moving, or if there was still a drizzle of exodus about the place. I got the impression that more people were leaving than coming, and thus the housing market was more favorable now. I'm starting to see the housing allowance as a great asset, though I still have my doubts.

I saw a hall for rent, and it was more expensive than a studio, and now I'm thinking, how can that be? A 1br with a hall, does that mean that the hall is shared by many people? Does that mean that a 1br apartment does not have a living room?

A hareem room will suit me just fine. Twisted Evil Idea

Is it difficult to park in Abu Dhabi and Dubai at night?

Parking is a complete nightmare in most of both Dubai and Abu Dhabi. They built high rise after high rise after high rise with absolutely no planning for parking whatsoever. A building with 50 to 75 flats will have parking for 20 cars... shared with the commercial businesses on the ground floor.

With the market opening up, one does have a better chance of finding better conditions and perhaps even an area with better parking.

Actually, I meant as a traveler...on the street. You know, parking. I just wonder how difficult it would be to drive into dubai, park my car, and say "howdy folks!"
