I'd like to know what motorbike you own, why you chose it, and what you think about your choice.

I've rented a Honda Wave alpha, Honda Wave S, and Yamaha Nouvo. I'm thinking to buy a Honda Future. I've liked all of my bikes and I think the 125 CC combined with the standard transmission make the Future the best choice for me.

Wave Alpha because they are cheap and everywhere. Never let me down - not very exciting though.

What did you think of the Nouvo? I'm thinking of going automatic so I can stow my helmet.

Win 100. Fully manual. Comes with a big container on the back and makes a nice roar when you ride it. It's also bigger and more comfy than a Wave Alpha.

Best bit is that it's Vietnamese made but very very cheap.

They're about 7 million VND new and much cheaper if they're a year old.

This is an older post from that "other site" but still gives good info for anyone whom is considering buying a MB.

All the Yamahas have those skinny dumb looking tires and rims. Looks they they belong on a clown bike at the circus.

I've driven automatics and they are ok on the dry open road. But on those gravel strewn pot holed flooded streets like Dien Ben Phu i would much rather ride in 1st gear on a Honda wave.
1st gear is the four wheel drive of the motorbike. You climb and crawl your way through those flooded streets with ease.

Attilas are ok except they are more for women. Chick bike for sure.

I agree with the previous poster. Honda Neo 125cc is your best choice.

The Nuovo is alright, but I do miss the standard transmission. The acceleration is very good, a little scary at times, and the seat and the storage are nice.

But I'm not sold on it at all. The fuel efficiency of the Nuovo is really bad. I go to get gas at least twice as much now. And, it just feels a bit too easy to ride at times.

Green Acres, what's the Jupiter like? I've had people recommend the Exciter over the Future as its supposed to have 130 CC.

My wife's just bought a super cub which I love riding. Almost tempted to get one myself. One of the coolest bikes out there.

Supercub is good, under 50cc, so don't need a license and the cops don't hassle too much.

Yamaha is good, especially jupiter because the cops want to take the hondas, especially neos/futures for the parts. The cops all have hondas, and no use for jupiter parts.

Honda came out with the blade to counter the exciter. Basically, everything here was honda until about 5 years ago when yamaha made inroads. Yamaha is doing much more to keep the customer satisfied, IMHO.

Really not a lot of difference between the two engines. They are both good and dependable, but because yamahas are not so many, they are also not picked on by evening thieves looking for spare parts (while you are inside with your friends). BTW, most hondas do not have original parts made in japan. Most now made in China and assembled here. Most yamahas are made with steel and alloys from japan. This is a big difference, and it can be seen nowadays.

Cops are becoming a bigger problem, now that the government has given them carte blanche on foreigners, again.
