I think the article makes a good point: While everyone knows about the drunken Saudi revellers on weekend trips, it's not often pointed out that very many Saudis (and expats) go to Bahrain for rather 'innocent' activities such as shopping, going to the cinema or just to the enjoy the more laid-back environment.

That said, I doubt the Bahrainis will make any serious moves to drastically cut alcohol availability. There's just too much money to be made from it.

freesoul........................ PLEASE reduce the size of that pic ! It is taking over my screen !

Cleo is right about those visitors to bahrain who go for shopping and the cnema. I am one of those. I never indulge in cakes and ale and am rarely a customer in the bordellos.

There is a website out there that I saw mentioned lately... unfortunately I didn't keep the link... which supposedly reduces the size for you. Maybe you can google it up. It is half of my screen too. Shocked

Thus far, most people have seemed to have to remove the big ones and look for another.

Not to mention that that darned link you posted also broke my margins!! Laughing I hate having to scroll across the screen to read a sentence.

Would this help?
"Guide Overview

This article will describe how to create a forum avatar using the free Microsoft Paint that comes with Windows.
Some notes:
The image to be uploaded can not exceed 200 kb.
The image must be one of the following file types : .gif, .jpeg, .jpg, .swf, .png. All others will be rejected.
Paint can not edit animated .gif.
The forum software will automatically resize your Avatar to acceptable limits, but you should edit to 100X100 pixels. This will help you stay with in the file size of 200 kb and not lose any image quality.
Instructions
1) Open MS Paint. It is located as follows.. Start>Program Files>Accessories>Paint
2) From the Toolbar select File>Open>the image to be used
3) When you have opened the image that you wish to resize select Toolbar>Image>Stretch\Skew... Reduce the number in the vertical and horizontal boxes until the desired size is reached.
To increase the size increase the number above 100% to the desired size.
4) Once you have the desired size go to File>Save as.... Give the file a name and choose the file type from the drop down box. I recommend .jpg but any of the above list types will be acceptable.
Your image is now ready to upload to your Avatar Profile.

or

IrfanView

From a discussion board:

"It was easy to use, don't take too much space (only 870 KB) and it works with GIFs also. I was able to reduce my Avatar (left picture) to half of its size-so it can fit 80x80 pixels size limit."

Hope this helps.
Regards,
John
