I just had to share this with you all, after 4 years in China this would have to be the worst job offer i've ever come incountered.
Kindergarten job offer - initially 7:30 (one hour early for parents to see) until 11:30 2 1/2 hours of actual work 5 days a week. Here's the kicker, come back between 2-4 'to take a rest' this is potentially a full 9 hour day of, mostly, wasted time. Or, in other words a 40 hour week for around 20kwai an hour! This includes no apartment, no medical, no holidays, no visa and all for the wopping pay of 4,000rmb! well, the swiss guy didn't mind!? no wonder he did, he can't get a valid work visa in China because he's not a native speaker, hello?! I'm kind of desperate at the moment but that is just a joke. |

That doesn't sound right. 2pm-4pm should be afternoon classes. If there are no afternoon classes, then this would just be a part time 7:30-11:30 where the 4000 salary would seem more appropriate. If it's really as you wrote it, and they didn't make a mistake with the job description, then indeed it's a screwy deal. |
