Dear L.A.
Sorry - you've got to abide by the rules of the game: no Coke machines nor any Haggen Daaz stores on that desert island.
Regards,
John

Johnslat,

While "taking the matter in hand" is the best we can come up with at times, It does not compare to being with a woman. Please!?>!? I'm surprised at you!

Again, when you are healthy (i.e., no sugar) you can enjoy your orgs much more whether they be with a partner or self induced.

Were our bodies originally designed to crave sugar or to make love? I know that our intellect allows us to figure out how to crave for chocolate but i believe that the sugar we heap into every chocolate morsel just to make it palletable makes one more prone to bad health and therefore less able to enjoy the simple pleasures of life which you will need to be able to appreciate on a desert isle.

Dear Tong Dawei,
I have to disagree. Earlier in this thread I made the distiction between "lust" and "love". I'd take love over chocolate any day. But "lust",
the coupling of two individuals who are using each other only to relieve "sexual tension", is, to my mind, nothing more than "mutual masturbation". So, I'd go along with Lynn's list:

1) love
2) choco (or other favorable snack)
3) sex

Another point of disagreement:

"when you are healthy (i.e., no sugar) you can enjoy your orgs much more whether they be with a partner or self induced."

I consume sugar, but I'd be willing to match the state of my health (at 61 yet) with anyone - not to mention the enjoyment I get from my "orgs". The sugar I ingest not only gives me abundant energy to perform what some might regard as an "over-the-top" exercise regimen, but also comes in handy under the sheets, so to speak.
Regards,
John

Love is vulnerability. It's painting a huge bullseye on your chest while someone waves around a pistol.

cheers to John for your oinion and sticking to it. I'm sticking to mine as well.

Sara!!! Although a customized version of modern love is a challenge to find/forge, i don't really think it is quite as awful you you say. I hope it is not. Some people settle on many things like bad love or no love. I may have to settle for no love too just due to my own bad luck, not because good love isn't out there. Unless of course I am wrong again!!! If it's all just a big game of mutual exploitation or akin to what you say.... Dunno, just keeping myself ready for the chance with fingers crossed.

......... Hi, you've reached your not-so-friendly neighborhood vegan feminist... I'm sorry I'm not available to take your message right now... but if you leave your name, number, and a description of what kind of weaponry you carry with you at all times, I'll be sure to "catch" you later. Ciao! *Beep*
