| The company I will soon start teaching for offers vacation the week of obon. Does anybody know the exact dates of obon this year? Thank you. |

Hi Billy...
I can't give you an exact answer but the Obon period is around the middle of August and as far as I'm aware, there are no actual national holidays for it. So your company could give you either the second or third week off. Going by previous experience, I would say it's most likely you will have the second week of August off: Monday 9th to Sunday 15th. |
